Better water. Better performance.
Water quality has a direct impact on the performance and lifespan of your ice machine. The right filtration helps reduce scale build-up, protect internal components and keep your machine producing consistently.
Why filtration matters
Every ice machine relies on a consistent supply of clean water. Over time, minerals and sediment can build up inside the machine, affecting ice quality and making the equipment work harder than it needs to. The right filtration system helps protect your machine, maintain consistent ice production and reduce unnecessary maintenance.
Protects your machine
Helps reduce mineral and sediment build-up on internal components.
Reduces scale
Helps minimise deposits that can affect the machine’s performance over time.
Improves ice quality
Cleaner water helps produce clearer, more consistent ice.
Maintains performance
Reducing build-up helps your machine continue operating efficiently.
Reduces maintenance
Good filtration can help reduce the frequency of scale-related cleaning and servicing.
Protects water quality
Filters can address sediment, taste and other water-quality issues before water enters the machine.
When does your filter need attention?
It depends entirely on your water, not on the calendar. Harder water, shorter interval. Much of Perth and regional WA sits at the harder end, and bore water is harder again so you’d need to change your filter more often. Look out for these signs:
Cloudy or inconsistent ice
A noticeable change in ice quality can be a sign that your water or filtration needs attention.
Reduced ice production
Scale build-up can make it harder for your machine to produce ice efficiently.
Visible scale deposits
White mineral deposits around areas where water sits are a clear sign of build-up.
Longer production cycles
If your machine is taking longer to produce the same amount of ice, scale may be contributing.
